Annual Bazaar - doors opened from 11:00am to 2:30pm

and the sun shone for us - thanks to all the people who worked so hard to make this a success!!

and a big thank you to all the people who came and spent their money!!

thanks also to all who cleared up in record time!

So far to date today we have made £4,250.30
a magnificent effort!



Autumn Festivities

Sunday 27th September 2009
Harvest Festival - about 30 people attended the lunch after the service again this year.
Thanks to all involved in the organisation.



Spring Festivities
HOGROAST: SATURDAY 13th JUNE

This was a very pleasant evening, but curtailed by the rain! Everyone enjoyed the Hog and the plentiful salads. We are grateful to Joyce Bradshaw, Jackie Le Page and everyone who worked so hard to make it a success and to Jason Langmead for donating the soft drinks. We have added £375 to the Hall fund.

It was held at 5pm at Church Hall and in the field. Tickets were available at £14 for adults and £8 for children under 12.

Winter Festivities



Friday 13th March was Quiz Night in the Peninsular Hotel at 7.00 for 7:30pm

Yet another of our popular Quiz Nights - an entertaining evening for all the family

Teams of 6 people, only £8.50 per person incuding a
CHOICE of supper :-

Marinated Drumsticks, Spicy Chicken Wings, Battered Cod Goujons, Home-made Margarita Pizza slices or Spring Rolls
all served with Potato Wedges

Tuesday 24th February was the Pancake & Beetle Evening in the Church Hall at 7.00pm

Another fun evening for all the family - young and old. The delicious home-made pancakes were very tasty everyone had a great laugh at Beetle.

The 14th February Horse racing evening at Rovers was really enjoyable and
helped our fund raising significantly. Thanks to all involved.

Autumn Festivities

Bazaar - 11th Ocober 2008

St Matthew's Bazaar

was held on Saturday 11th October in the Church Hall
from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm

The Bazaar raised in excess of £4,300

Thanks to all who visited and a special thanks to all the helpers and organisers

Entertainment at 2pm and Golden Ballot Draw at 2:15pm

Entertainment in the Field, Goal Shooting, Splat the Rat and Netball Shooting.
(In a tent if wet!)


A wide variety of stalls with produce to meet all tastes:

Fruit, Vegetables and Jam
Cakes, Pastries and Pies
Books, Cards and Toys
Gifts and Household goods
Tombola and £1 stall
Face Painting
Jewellery
Coffee and light lunches served.

Thanks to all who came and joined us.
(our church has to pay it's own way - this is our major fund-raising event)
