Sam Penkett is well known to Guernsey music lovers, having participated in the series of Summer Concerts at St Matthew's since their inception and has also performed in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland and Spain. Sam was born in Essex and has sung at Chelmsford Cathedral, first as treble and then as choral scholar. He is now a lay clerk at Guildford Cathedral. Having first studied in Essex with Peter Nardone, he now enjoys the tutelage of Timothy Travers Brown and Ashley Stafford. Sam has recently graduated from Trinity College of Music, London, where he had been awarded a full scholarship. Sam has sung with numerous choirs in such prestigious venues as St Paul's and St James' Palace, London, and has sung several times before royalty.

Fr Luke is a solitary priest-monk of the Orthodox community at the Monastère Sainte-Présence, in Brittany. In a former life (!) he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, where he was awarded all the major piano prizes and scholarships, including the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Silver Medal. He is a Fellow of Trinity College of Music and has broadcast on radio and television
